New Theme Time!
The blog has looked… quite boring for a while. I’ve got a new theme, but I need to work on the colors. Please pardon the mismatched ads and such until I can figure out a different color scheme!

Thursday night, my husband and I were at Times Union Center in Albany, NY to see Matchbox Twenty and Alanis Morissette live in concert, with opening act Mutemath. The show was wonderful, with a highly civilized audience that remained seated for most of the show.
However, this meant I was not home to watch (and blog about) this week’s episode of LOST, “Eggtown.”
I was climbing the walls with anticipation yesterday, and hoping that I wouldn’t inadvertantly be spoiled about the reveal of the next member of the Oceanic Six. I tried to watch the streaming video from ABC on my computer around 9:00 last night, but the video was not keeping up with the audio, and it kept stopping randomly. My husband blames himself, because he was streaming his online radio show at the time.
Instead, I borrowed his laptop to watch “Eggtown” in bed instead of reading before bed. It still wasn’t perfect, but at least I knew what happened. I am NOT happy about what I saw. But I’m going to have a separate entry about exactly why I’m so unhappy.
My best friend did record the episode for me, so I’m going to watch it on an actual TV screen before getting too much into anything in-depth.
I don’t know why, but I find it hilarious that Uncharted Island ranks top on Google for [new otherton]. Of all things! I wonder if I was the first person on the blogosphere to submit an entry containing the term.
It’s good to see more people finding my lovely LOST corner of the web through Google! How have you found me? By searching for various phrases, like…
Uncharted Island shows up on the first page for: [lost+links between characters] [lost Clip show] [oceanic airlines billboards hidden message] ["if i still had a kidney"] [miles strom anagram] [ben never left the island, lost]
I actually show up as the top result for: [lost-theory secrets] [jericho torture] ["ana lucia cortes"] [blogging while watching lost]
I’m on the second page of results with: [lost season 4 miles strom] [lost miles ghostbuster]
You guys are awesome. I hope you come back for more!
Here’s where I need to thank all of my readers for making this quite a popular LOST blog. I was checking my referrer logs, and I’m quite high up in the Google rankings for a number of search strings!
I’m on top for these searches: [lost character chart] [lost characters relationship] [lost abc pop up]
I’m on the first page for these searches: [desmond time travel] [hurley lost lie] [jin was a strong-arm enforcer] [lost charlie mission return of the jedi] [lost time travel]
I’m on the second page for these searches: [dharma labels] [charlie lost return of the jedi] [lost characters] [lost characters connections]
It’s funny to see how just one word difference can make the difference between first page, second page, or not at all! I’m happy that you guys were able to find me, though, whatever you typed in to get here!
And apparently the Googlebot likes coming here, since many of these pages showing up were only written in the past two or three days! I hope to make the grade for the blog posts I have coming up, too. ![]()
I’m looking for a few good bloggers. I’ve been too quiet lately, and I’m enlisting help. You may see a few new faces around here, which will be nice for some additional perspective. I’m going to be playing around with the blog appearance, as well, since the newest version of WordPress has some new features that may not necessarily work with my old theme.
If you’re interested in joining the Uncharted Island blog team, please leave a comment here or email me at twilightsun at mail dot com.
I apoplogize for not updating in a while. I actually have some theory posts started but unfinished. Without having LOST to look forward to every week, it’s easy to forget to write about it.
I did rewatch the season one DVDs, and that was interesting. The only decent summer reruns on now are - yay! - Jericho. I’m so happy that our petition and the fans who sent tons of nuts to CBS made them change their mind and agree to produce a limited run next season.
I’m working on some LOST word puzzles right now, to tide my poor lonely blog here through the LOST dry spell. I hope you enjoy them!
I had some legal issues that are now over. Everybody’s happy, and waivers have been signed so there will be no more legal battles.
I would like to thank my fantastic intellectual property lawyer, Timothy Wan, Esq., of the law firm Smith, Carroad, Levy & Finkel, LLP. If you need an intellectual property lawyer in the state of New York, I highly recommend him. It’s good to know that “little people” like me can get aggressive representation when it’s needed.
By tonight, you’ll have had the romantic candelight dinner (or not) and you can change into your pajamas to settle in and watch our new episode of LOST at 10:00 PM EST.
But what about the 8:00 hour? If you’re looking for something to watch before catching the repeat of last week’s episode “Not in Portland,” CBS is running a “catch up” for Jericho called “Return to Jericho.” I’m guessing it will be a clip show like we’re used to with LOST.
I was very wary of Jericho when they started promoting it over the summer. It seemed far too depressing a premise, the aftermath of a nuclear attack on American soil. But because of the sheer lack of anything even remotely interesting to me in the same timeslot, I watched the pilot episode. And continued watching it each week.
Maybe it’s the X-Phile in me, but there’s enough conspiracy theory to keep me hooked. We still don’t know who dropped the bombs. There’s a mysterious government (?) agent named Hawkins (played by Lennie James) who came to town, and a old hometown boy named Jake (played by Skeet Ulrich) came home with a bit more survival knowledge than anyone would’ve expected.
It looks like they may be moving Jericho to Wednesday nights at 9:00 because LOST is no longer competition in that timeslot. Next week’s new episode of Jericho is going to be called “The Day Before,” and will let us see what happened the day before the bombs went off. This seems like an excellent time to join the series if you aren’t already a fan.
But who knows? Maybe we’ll find out that the Hanso Foundation or one of its affiliates is responsible for the nuclear attacks. I doubt that kind of cross-network collaboration would ever happen, but it would be an amazing twist.
Since this blog is now truly mine and I’m not writing for someone else, I decided that I’ll be making occasional posts about some of my other favorite TV shows. I’ve noticed at least a number of other LOST fans on LOST-TV who also appreciate some of the same shows as I do… Heroes, Jericho, Daybreak…
Sadly, ABC has already pulled Daybreak from its lineup. I can’t find the official word, but I read somewhere that they’ll be making the rest of the episodes available online for those of us who want to find out why Detective Hopper is repeating this same day over and over again.
I also like to watch How I Met Your Mother, The Class, The Office, ER, and Las Vegas, so I may decide to post about them once in a while. My main focus will still be LOST, but I figure there should be any harm in branching out every so often!
