Uncharted Island

Phew… is it getting hot in here? While I’ve been rooting for Kate and Sawyer to get together for quite sometime, that love scene in the cage was getting a little steamier than I thought they could get in LOST’s time slot!While this Sawyer fangirl tries to get a little less flustered by the mental image, let’s consider a few things:

Kate probably hasn’t been with anyone since she left her husband Kevin. Sawyer hooked up with Ana-Lucia a few weeks ago, island time. But either way, they both needed this… the sexual tension has been palpable between them for way too long!

They both finally honestly admitted that they love each other. Aww.

The cameras were on them the entire time. I have to wonder… Was Ben sitting in there watching the whole time? Or do you think he let them have their privacy, knowing they weren’t going anywhere? The fact that he wasn’t in the monitoring room when Jack “broke out” means nothing… a fair amount of time had passed. I think he’s just creepy enough to have watched.

In any case, Ben knew what happened, and he let it happen. Makes me wonder if Kate was right, and the only reason she and Sawyer were there was to act as bait. Maybe it wasn’t an accident that Jack saw Ben’s x-rays. Jack got the best incentive he could possibly get to make Ben make good on his promise to take him home; he saw that he had lost Kate. Or that he never really had her in the first place. A better setup couldn’t have been contrived…

…Was it contrived? Could they have really forseen everything falling into place this way?
